Xavier Font

Bellpuig (Lleida, Spain) 1972


Trained in piano, guitar, composition, and orchestration, Xavi Font is specialized in music composition for film, television, and advertising.


From 1986 to 2002, he was a member of several pop and electronic bands as a composer, bassist, pianist, and guitarist.


In 2001, he began his professional activity in the audiovisual field by composing film scores.


Currently, he works with national and international film production companies as a composer and music consultant, getting involved in each project from the initial strategic stage to the delivery of the final production.


Xavi Font is a member of the Spanish Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences and the  Academia Galega do Audiovisual.


Xavi Font was nominated to the XXIV Goya Prizes, in 'Best Original Song' category for 'Agallas'.


He was awarded the prize 'Mestre Mateo 2013' in the 'Best Original Music' category for 'O Apóstolo', where he collaborated with Philip Glass.
